About

I work across housing, health and community systems, exploring how governance, culture and place shape outcomes for people and communities, and how insight can be translated into practical, people-centred change.

I collaborate with organisations and networks to explore complex challenges, surface insight and shape frameworks, principles and recommendations that support meaningful, sustainable progress. I’m particularly interested in the dynamics between teams, sectors and communities, and how power, culture and environment influence the realities of service delivery.

Alongside this, I support individuals navigating change in their homes and lives through tessaspring.co.uk. This reflective, solutions-focused work strengthens my organisational perspective by grounding systems thinking in everyday reality.

My career spans housing, health, research and communication. I’ve led strategic planning projects within local government at the intersection of housing, care and community, co-founded a residential property business to improve standards and humanise estate agency, and written features on health, governance and social affairs for The BMJ, Metro and elsewhere, earning a 2024 Medical Journalists’ Association nomination for Newcomer of the Year. I’ve also published peer-reviewed research on housing, culture, governance and place.

A consistent thread in my work is connecting systems to the realities of people’s lives, and translating understanding into grounded action.

I’m a trustee of the women’s health charity Pregnancy Associated Osteoporosis UK.

Across my work, I’m motivated by learning, rigour and service. I’m open to employed, collaborative or project-based roles where I can contribute insight and clarity while staying connected to the people and communities at the heart of the work.
